Filter both aqueous and organic solvents Optically clear when wet Hydrophilic PTFE membranes are a thin, unsupported, highly porous film that offers maximum chemical and pH resistance to a broad range of aqueous and organic solvents. This membrane exhibits high flow rates with minimal aqueous extractables(<0.3 wt%). Typical applications include filtration of aqueous and organic solvents used in HPLC. Since the filter is optically clear when wet it is ideally suited for culture and microscope examination of cells/particles captured on the filter surface without requiring a separate step to render the filter optically clear. Note: This membrane may shrink and be rendered hydrophobic if allowed to dry during or after use. Autoclaving and allowing to dry will render it hydrophobic.
