A number of different autosamplers have been used with Agilent AA, ICP-OES, MP-AES, and ICP-MS instruments, depending on the specific model. This includes the Agilent SPS 4 used with current instruments, and the ASX 500 Series used with earlier model instruments. Each model autosampler is designed to automate the presentation of liquid samples, drawn from tubes held in racks loaded on the rack location mat, to the instrument for analysis.
