Before exchanging the outlet ball valve, try cleaning it in a sonicator by placing the valve in an upright position (onto the plastic cap) in a small beaker with alcohol. Sonicate for 5 to 10 minutes. The 1100/1200 Series binary pump has a different outlet ball valve which includes a sieve.
