Prevents vapor condensation in the upper half of a flask and protects the flask and its contents from drafts, which would distrub the reflux ration during fractionation. It protects against glassware in the event the flask implodes under high vacuum distillations and from thermal strain between the top and lower half of flask during high-temperature operations. Please note that inner fabric color may change due to pre-treatment before shipment, which ensures that no smoke or odors (caused by heat) are released into your work environment.
