Pulsed AC gives better low speed torque than voltage dropping devices such as rheostat or transformer. AC output: 120 volts, 10 amps. DC motors give better all- around performance than most other solid state controllers because rectification is balanced full-wave instead of half-wave power. DC output: 0-120 volts, 6 amps.
